Snowmobiling in National Parks

The Bush administration will allow snowmobiling to continue in the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks but they will impose tight new restrictions to reduce the volume of traffic and address longstanding concerns about noise and air pollution. Their plan would require cleaner-burning and quieter snowmobile engines and would encourage the increased use of guided snowmobile tours to help control the numbers of snowmobilers and reduce the disruption of wildlife.
