  2. I really like that you mentioned taking trash bags. My brother is looking to buy camping cooking supplies but needs tips. I’ll be sure to talk to him about getting trash bags for the dirty plates and extra food.

  3. I’ve only been on a few backpacking trips, so I only have a little experience. I usually go in the desert during the summer, so I’ve never needed any crazy stuff. I think a fire starter is really important. Even if you can make a fire without one, it’s nice to have something quick, because you never know when you’ll need one in a hurry.

  4. I find your list interesting and I keep most of these items in my camp boxes. I didn’t see knives and a way to keep them sharp on the list. I find a small roll of duct tape, tie wire, and zip ties to be handy in camp. Still, I think you have great recommendations for new campers. Good job!
